TEAM REQUIREMENTS
A team shall consists of 16 players, with seven to play at any one time - minimum of three boys and three girls per team.

SPORTS RULES

•  The game format will be Tag Rugby - a non contact form of the game Rugby in which a tackle is replaced by a TAG.
•  All players must wear a tag belt around their waist. Two tags are attached by Velcro and are positioned over each hip. The belt is to be worn outside of the clothing.
•  Only the ball carrier can be tagged. The ball carrier can run and dodge potential taggers but cannot fend them off using their hands or the ball and cannot shield their tags in any way.
•  The ball cannot be pulled out of the ball carriers hands at any time.
•  If a player does not have two tags on their belt and they become the ball carrier the team will be penalised with a free pass to the opposing team.
•  Once the ball carrier is tagged they have three seconds to pass the ball to a team mate, the ball carrier must attempt to stop as soon as possible, within three strides is a reasoinable guide for reference, but the ball can be passed in the act of stopping.
•  After the ball has been passed the player must go and retrieve their tag from the tagger bvefore rejoining the game. If a player continues to play the team will be penalised with a free pass to the opposing team.
•  When a TAG is made the player must stop, raise the tag above their head and shout TAG.
•  Once a tag is made the tag must be at least one metre back to allow the ball carrier to pass the ball.
•  When the ball has been passed the tagger must hand the tag back to the player and cannot continue to play until this has been done.
•  No player can continue to play unless they have both tags properly in place on their belt.
•  When a tag is made, all players on the taggers side must attempt to retire towards their own goal line until they are behind the ball, if a player is in an offside position and interefers with the game a free pass will be awarded.
•  When the ball is carried into touch the game is restarted with a free pass from where the ball went into touch. Opponents must be seven metres back from this mark.
•  The object is to score a try by placing the ball with a downward pressure on or behind the opponent's goal line.
•  There will be no scrums, kickingor line out.
•  A free pass is used to start and retart a game.
•  Games will consist of two five minute halves with a one minut half time break.
