Partners
Partnership has been central to HSDT's work from the beginning. By working with schools, funders, local organisations, sports bodies and community partners, we can create more opportunities for young people across Haringey.
Tottenham Grammar School Foundation
The Tottenham Grammar School Foundation has been HSDT's principal supporter since the Trust's inception in 1992. Its early backing helped make the establishment and development of Haringey Sports Development possible, and the relationship has continued across more than three decades.
The Foundation has a long record of supporting educational and sporting opportunities for young people across Haringey and remains an important partner in the Trust's work.
Haringey Schools & HSSA
HSDT's close relationship with Haringey schools is at the heart of its work. The Trust supports school sport, competition, Physical Education and professional development and works alongside the Haringey School Sports Association (HSSA), which became part of the Trust in 2018.
Haringey Council
The Trust works with Haringey Council and local services to support sporting and physical activity opportunities for children, young people and communities across the borough. Council support has also contributed to the funding of HSDT programmes.
School Games & Youth Sport
HSDT has worked closely with School Games Organisers and the wider school sport network. The Trust now employs and manages the work of School Games Organisers, helping provide a wide competition programme for borough schools.
Its long association with school sport also developed through the School Sport Partnership era and work connected with Sport England and the Youth Sport Trust.
Community & Programme Partners
Over the years the Trust has worked with a wide range of organisations supporting sport, physical activity and young people. These relationships have included Healthy Schools, StreetGames and community sports organisations and clubs throughout Haringey.
Historic Partners & Supporters
HSDT's earlier website records support and partnership involving organisations including Hornsey Parochial Charities, Woodside High School, Haringey Aquatics and organisations connected with the London Youth Games and London Marathon.
Some historic partnerships may have changed over time. They are recognised here as part of the Trust's development, while current partnership information can be updated as relationships evolve.
Working Together
HSDT's achievements have always depended on people and organisations working together. We value the schools, clubs, coaches, volunteers, funders, public bodies and community organisations that help us increase participation, develop talent and give young people opportunities through sport.
